"In any case, the Effect Send comes after the PSA-1 has created the amp emulations. In other words, if you're not using any effects in the loop (like chorus, delay or reverb), and you run from the Effect Send to, say, an amplifier, it would be the same signal as you get from the left or right 1/4" Outputs. Once you go to an effect from the Send (and add chorus, delay or reverb), the effect's "wet" signal comes back into the Effect Returns, and then goes to the 1/4" and XLR Outputs.

We feel that adding chorus, delay or reverb to the ENTIRE signal can be "too much", so we offer the 50/50 switch so that HALF the PSA tone "stays" in the PSA, and only the other HALF goes though the effects."
